As we approach the Holiday season, there’s no better way to get into the spirit than by attending the Coopersville Community Band’s annual Christmas Concert. The band invites you to come out on Monday, December 9, starting at 7:30 p.m., to enjoy live Christmas music and join us for a holiday sing-along
Under the direction of Luanne Devries and Tom Harsay, the CCCB will perform a variety of holiday favorites, including Leroy Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival” and “Sleigh Ride”. Enjoy the triumphant sounds of “Festival Fanfare for Christmas”, by John Wasson. Tuck in for an adventurous “Midnight Sleighride”, by Serge Prokofiev (arr. Tom Wallace), and delight in the nostalgic “Christmas Time With Charlie Brown” (arr. John Mos). Groove along to the melodies of “Christmas Jazz Suite”, by Bill Holcombe. Feel the Christmas Spirit with “Passacaglia on an Old English Carol”, by Robert Longfield, and “Cathedral Bell Fantasy” by Ed Kiefer. Attendees will be invited to join the CCCB on stage and sing along with Handel’s famous “Hallelujah Chorus”.
Be sure to mark your calendar for a fun evening of music on Monday night, December 9, starting at 7:30 PM, at Coopersville High School’s Centerstage Theater.
Admission is free, and all are invited to attend.
The band is 50+ members strong and rehearses in the Coopersville High School Band Room on Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The group covers expenses by accepting individual donations given by generous community members and grants from local community groups. Thank you for your support!
